Facebook simplifies sharing
At Facebook’s annual conference last week, Mark Zuckerberg, the company’s co-founder and CEO, announced the launch of “Open Graph” — an interactive social tool that will collect information about a person’s Facebook activities, such as the websites they visit and their favorite news stories or music, and share it with their Facebook friends.

Gates commends Carnegie Mellon’s ambition and advancements
Bill Gates, co-chair and trustee of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and chairman of Microsoft Corp., dedicated the Gates Center for Computer Science to the future of technological progress at Carnegie Mellon.
“It is an honor and privilege to be involved with Carnegie Mellon,” said Gates in a keynote address to students and faculty. A ribbon-cutting ceremony followed the address.

Rudd speaks of global cooperation
As part of the G20 events on Carnegie Mellon’s campus, Kevin Rudd, prime minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, delivered a keynote address to the campus community last Thursday.
