Electricity-monitoring technology surges forward at Carnegie Mellon

We may soon be able to see how much each individual appliance in our homes is contributing to our monthly power bill.

How Things Work: LED Incapacitators

By taking advantage of the limit at which the brain can process information, researchers have developed a weapon that does not cause physical harm, but can incapacitate a target by flashing lights.
