Streaming means indie artists go broke
It’s a well-documented fact that artists don’t get paid well for music that people stream online. The actual magnitude of this problem was recently made more public when alternative rock group Camper Van Beethoven released a picture of their royalty check. One of their songs got played over a million times and their payout was a bit more than $16. That should be astounding to everyone.

On the surface, net neutrality is a great idea. The free and open culture of the Internet is what makes it a beautiful thing, and price discrimination against users and websites would do terrible things to the blossoming Internet that we know and love.

Obamacare will be easily broken
Other than Obama’s sound bite, “If you like your insurance, you will keep it,” the most memorable quote from the Affordable Care Act — more commonly known as Obamacare — debate is, “insurance companies won’t be able to deny you coverage or jack up your rate because of a pre-existing condition.” This caveat will be Obamacare’s undoing.
