  • School of Drama student crowned Miss Pennsylvania

    After being crowned Miss Pennsylvania 2014, junior musical theatre major Amanda Fallon Smith competed at the national Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, N.J. last Sunday.

    Although Miss New York, Kira Kazantsev, won the pageant overall, Smith won the talent portion of the preliminary competitions and has a platform of “Fitness and Nutrition: The Key to Healthy Living.”

  • Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners selected to design Tepper Quadrangle

    Carnegie Mellon announced last Wednesday that the university has selected an architectural firm to design the gateway building for the new David A. Tepper Quadrangle. The Santa Monica-based firm Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners have been commissioned to design the building, part of a large expansion of campus.

  • CMU Rwanda graduates its first class

    Carnegie Mellon University celebrated another mile- stone in international education last month.

    The university’s Rwanda campus (CMU-R) graduated its first class on July 24, when 22 students received master’s degrees in information technology during a ceremony at the Serena Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda.

  • Zuckerberg lectures on marketing, social media

    Randi Zuckerberg spoke on campus about her role in the development of Facebook and the books and projects of Zuckerberg media, offering advice on how to obtain balance in a life surrounded by technology.

    Held in McConomy auditorium last Tuesday, Zuckerberg addressed an audience of around 60 attendees.
