Noise Complaint

A Margaret Morrison Apartments resident called University Police reporting excessive noise coming from a neighboring apartment. Police arrived on scene and advised the small gathering to keep the noise down.
Fire Alarm

at 4 a.m.
A fire alarm sounded in Morewood E Tower, where all residents were required to evacuate. The alarm came from the south side of the building’s third floor. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire arrived on the scene and checked the area but found no signs of smoke. The alarm was reset and the residents were allowed to return to their rooms.

A fire alarm was activated in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house. The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire came to the scene and determined the cause to be cigarette smoke in the second floor hallway.
Vehicle Damage

A blue Ford Escape with a Florida license plate parked in the stacked lot behind Morewood Gardens had a smashed back window. There was no glass near the car or anywhere on the lot and the actor was unknown.

A Carnegie Mellon professor called University Police when he found a man urinating outside of Warner Hall. The police arrived on the scene, found that the man had a solicitation permit for being on campus and in Warner Hall, and then told him to leave campus for the remainder of the day.

at 9:03 p.m.
A Hamerschlag House resident reported his Carnegie Mellon identification card missing from his room. He had left his door open while he was in the shower and returned to find his card missing.

at 1:42 p.m.
A Morewood Gardens resident reported that her MacBook laptop was stolen. She had been sleeping in her floor lounge with her MacBook on the table beside her. She woke up to find it missing.
