Fire Alarm

A fire alarm sounded at the Collaborative Innovation Center. Building occupants were evacuated and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire arrived on scene. No signs of smoke or fire were found. The alarm was reset and occupants were allowed to return to the center.

at 4:49 p.m.

A McGill House resident reported her bicycle stolen from the rack in front of the building. She had left it there in the morning before classes and returned to find it missing. Both the bicycle and its lock remain missing.

at 2:07 p.m.

A student reported his cell phone missing from the PNC ATM on the first floor of the University Center. He had taken out money and left the ATM before he realized it was gone. When he returned to get it, his phone was missing. The phone has not yet been found.

Vehicle Collision

at 10:09 p.m.

University Police were on the scene when a Carnegie Mellon Escort vehicle pulled up too closely to a vehicle and hit its mirror. The vehicle was trying to stop at the Morewood Gardens turnaround, but drove too far ahead and hit the mirror of the vehicle in front of it.

Medical Emergency

A 19-year-old male student began actively seizing in the middle of one of his classes. University Police arrived on the scene. His professor and classmates notified Emergency Medical Services, who took the student to Shadyside Hospital where he was later released.

A student reported pieces of copper stolen from one of the studios in Margaret Morrison Hall. He had left the materials at his desk yet returned that day to find them missing.

A Carnegie Mellon employee reported a large piece of shrubbery missing from the front of the physical plant building. He did not know exactly when or by whom it had been removed, but he did know that there were no requests from Facilities Management Services to remove the piece.
